Rihanna has gone back to black and I must say I love it! The little shaved piece on the side, the heavy side bang, the color, I love the whole look.

That's not a gimmicky hairstyle? That style seems like an attention grabber to me. Anyway, I do love the color. Her features stand out in darker colors.
I don't find this look gimmicky, I think the small shaved area is right on point with the current hair trends among the youth.
