Finding your perfect Foundation - There's an app for that!

Finding the perfect foundation can be hard, especially when you're in the drugstore and there's not 1 tester in sight.  Lucky for you L'Oreal True Match has over 30 different shades and a brand new ‘True Match’ iPhone app to make your search even easier.  Curious, I downloaded the app and enlisted a friend to test it out too.  My friend is very light skinned so I thought I'm brown and she's barely even brown can L'Oreal really cover all the brown girls out here?  To see how it worked for her, head over to Beauty Blvd.

Once I downloaded the app, I was surprised to see that there is no photo uploading involved just a few questions to help establish your shade.  After my first try, which was a total mis-match (W9.5 Deep Warm) I tried again and got a shade that looked close enough, W7 Caramel Beige.  I headed on out to my local CVS to pick up the foundation and concealer.

The Caramel Beige was a great match.  I love that the formula of the True Match Super Blendable Foundation is easy to apply with your fingers, a foundation brush, or a sponge.  The concealer is a good companion because it's a little bit thicker and the brush applicator helps target blemishes.

I recommend trying out the True Match app before you head out to the drugstore, it will help steer you in the right direction.  The True Match Matchmaker App allows you to find your precise True Match shade by determining your unique undertone and depth through a series of focused questions.  Once you find your True Match shade you will be able to use the store locator feature to see which stores carry your shade as well as see who your celebrity undertone match is and get other product recommendations based on your unique shade!  Tip:  If the shade selected for you seems a tad bit off, take the quiz again and tweak your answers a little bit.  I did that and got the perfect shade.
